We are the official photography and Film-making team of NIT Jamshedpur. And both the things mentioned are equally important and enjoyable for us. It’s like if Photography is our breakfast, film-making has to be our dinner. Like the greats have said, “Ye sirf Hobby nahi hai! Duniya hai humari”. For a beginner who has a sound interest in photography and/or film-making, we are a perfect team to be a part of. After all, upon having interest, photography is the second easiest thing to do. First, of course, is creating a Photography page on Facebook. Here, you don’t learn by reading but you learn by doing and discovering.
A rough sketch of what we are concerned about doing involves still photography, cinematography, editing of all sorts, script writing, Direction, Screenplays and much more. Apart from gaining knowledge about the areas mentioned above, you also get to enrich your teamwork skills working together. For the last 3 years, In the Director’s cut event of the of Ojass, the awards for best movie, best cinematography, best editing, best screenplay, best acting were all bagged by the PHOCUS’s guys. And this is more than sufficient to allow us to say that, whatever we do, we do it at the absolute best.
We got a team, pretty solid in accepting challenges. A beginner’s point of view is given the equal amount of respect as that of an experienced guy in our club. This club teaches you a number of things and staying PHOCUSed is on top of them all.
